大學(xué)生社團(tuán)“進(jìn)化論”

A few months ago, Yu Jianming was no different from other boys who spend most of their spare time playing sports. But now, the 18-year-old civil engineering major plays with paper, making cute animals and beautiful flowers. It’s all thanks to the club he participates in – the origami club of Chongqing University.

就在幾個(gè)月前，余建明（音譯）還和其他男生一樣將大部分課余時(shí)間都花在體育運(yùn)動(dòng)上。但現(xiàn)在，這位土木工程專業(yè)的18歲男生玩起了折紙，在他手上紙張化身為可愛(ài)的動(dòng)物以及美麗的花朵。而這一切都要?dú)w功于他所屬的社團(tuán)——重慶大學(xué)(微博 招生辦)折紙社。

Speaking of campus clubs, people usually think of conventional ones like roller-skating, cosplay or music clubs. But now, society and club culture is seeing more diversity, with students’ interests covering a wide spectrum.

說(shuō)到校園社團(tuán)，人們往往想到的是輪滑、動(dòng)漫或音樂(lè)這類的傳統(tǒng)社團(tuán)。但現(xiàn)在，隨著學(xué)生興趣范圍日漸廣泛，社團(tuán)文化也變得越發(fā)多元化。

Yu joined the club a month ago after he saw a gigantic paper elephant on display at the society and club recruiting fair. “It was made by the club chairman, who’s my age,” says Yu. “His work aroused my interest in origami.”

一個(gè)月前，余建明參加社團(tuán)納新活動(dòng)時(shí)看到一個(gè)巨型折紙大象，之后便加入了該社團(tuán)。“折紙大象就是出自該社團(tuán)主席之手，他和我一樣大，”余建明說(shuō)，“他的作品喚起了我對(duì)折紙的興趣”

According to Yu, the club was formed by a group of students who love the art of origami. “Though I’ve never tried origami before, I’m impressed by their passion for it and I want to learn it myself,” he says.

余建明說(shuō)，該社團(tuán)由一群大學(xué)生折紙愛(ài)好者組成。他說(shuō)：“盡管之前我從未嘗試過(guò)折紙，但我被他們的那份熱情所打動(dòng)，也想學(xué)一下�！�

Functional clubs

功能性社團(tuán)

Other than treating societies and clubs as a way of recreation, some students now use them to broaden their horizons, help their studies, and prepare for a future career. Some societies and clubs like this include extra tuition clubs, straight-A student clubs, and start-up business clubs.

一些學(xué)生不僅把社團(tuán)當(dāng)做一種娛樂(lè)休閑方式，更利用它們來(lái)開闊眼界、鞏固課業(yè)、為未來(lái)事業(yè)打下基礎(chǔ)。類似的社團(tuán)還包括：課外大講堂、學(xué)霸抱團(tuán)社、創(chuàng)業(yè)協(xié)會(huì)等。

Cui Ye, 19, is the co-founder of the straight-A student club at Beihang University. The economics major student wanted to improve her academic performance, so she set up the study club together with her friends.

19歲的崔燁是北航“學(xué)霸抱團(tuán)社”的創(chuàng)始人之一。她攻讀經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)專業(yè)，為了提高自己的學(xué)習(xí)成績(jī)，便和朋友們一同創(chuàng)立了這個(gè)學(xué)霸社團(tuán)。

“The club has attracted dozens of students. We urge each other to study hard and initiate self-study activities after class,” says Cui. “I think the club has made studying less boring and difficult.”

“我們的社團(tuán)吸引了許多學(xué)生加入。我們相互督促學(xué)習(xí)，并發(fā)起課外自習(xí)活動(dòng)，”崔燁說(shuō)，“我認(rèn)為社團(tuán)讓學(xué)習(xí)變得不再那么無(wú)聊和困難了�！�

Strict management

管理嚴(yán)格

With more and more students participating in societies and clubs, a stricter management style has emerged.

隨著社團(tuán)成員人數(shù)的增加，隨之而來(lái)的是更加嚴(yán)格的管理制度。

Leyuanzhifei, a cosplay club at Jilin Animation Institute, is one of the pioneers.

吉林動(dòng)畫學(xué)院樂(lè)園之扉動(dòng)漫真人秀社團(tuán)便是先行者之一。

According to Cui Xinyu, the chairwoman of the club, Leyuanzhifei operates as a studio rather than a club. “I joined the club three years ago when it was still operating as a club. But in the past two years the club has grown dramatically, both in scale and reputation. So we decided to set strict rules to maintain this momentum,” says Cui, the 22-year-old art and design major student.

該社團(tuán)主席崔心雨（音譯）表示，就運(yùn)作模式而言，樂(lè)園之扉更像一個(gè)工作室而并非社團(tuán)。藝術(shù)設(shè)計(jì)專業(yè)、22歲的崔心雨說(shuō)：“三年前我加入了這個(gè)社團(tuán)，那時(shí)它還是社團(tuán)式運(yùn)作模式。但在過(guò)去兩年中，樂(lè)園之扉在規(guī)模和名望上都取得了飛躍式的發(fā)展。為保持這一勢(shì)頭，我們決定制定一套嚴(yán)格的管理制度�！�

Now, members of the club cannot perform under the name of Leyuanzhifei unless they get permission from the club first. Also, members are not allowed to post photos of the club’s performances without approval. “Such mechanisms ensure the integrity and reputation of our club,” says Cui.

現(xiàn)在，如果沒(méi)有得到社團(tuán)許可，成員們不能以樂(lè)園之扉的名義從事演出活動(dòng)。同時(shí)，成員們也不能在未經(jīng)許可的情況下發(fā)布社團(tuán)演出照。崔心雨說(shuō)：“這樣的管理機(jī)制可以保證我們社團(tuán)的誠(chéng)信和聲望�！�
